Stokley Annual and Day Use Passes help subsidize the significant costs associated with maintaining the trails we have all come to cherish and enjoy so much. In addition, your membership or purchase of day use passes provide a unique sense of pride knowing that you are directly contributing to the conservation and use of this beautiful landscape for future generations to enjoy as well!
In partnership with the Algoma Highlands Conservancy and Astina, Stokely’s trail maintenance crews work year-round to:
keep trails clear of foliage and fallen trees- repair washouts due to snow melt and heavy rain events
- install and maintain bridges, culverts, and ditching
- groom trails for classic and skate skiing in winter
pack snowshoe trails- maintain trail markings and signage
- maintain outhouses and lookouts throughout the trail system
- maintain warming cabins and resupply wood for stoves
- maintain equipment required such as heavy equipment, groomers, tools, etc.
Our team is equally as proud of the amount of effort that goes into maintaining the trail system from cutting and splitting the firewood that warms up trail users in the winter to smoothing out those rough spots that make biking and hiking more enjoyable in spring, summer and fall.
